Blood in urine, or hematuria, can occur due to a vast variety of reasons. Whether visible with the naked eye or visible only through a microscope, hematuria may, on the one hand, raise no cause for concern, or on the other hand, indicate a serious issue.
It is critical to detect the reason for hematuria, and your treatment will be dependent on the cause of your bleeding. In a few instances, redness in urine may not even be blood, but instead just a reddish urine color change resulting from food or medications such as beets or laxatives; however, it is generally advised that you see a physician to properly assess you any time you have redness in urine.
Dr. Nirav Parikh, MD will work with you to determine the best course of action for diagnosing, managing, and treating hematuria.
Your treatment plan is designed for steady progress, with every phase promptly and appropriately implemented.
